"MOM, I LOVE YOU" ...

AWBW Foundation collaborated with the City of Euless to host the first ever "Mom, I Love You" campaign to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8. The focus was creating awareness on Perinatal Mental Health. The event was attended by Tarrant County mothers and was a wonderful initiative to address an important aspect of women's health and well-being during a crucial period of their lives. The inclusion of health professionals to speak on prenatal mental health reflected a commitment to providing valuable information and support to mothers.

The event was hosted at the Mary Saleh Library, which was a central and accessible location, making it easier for community members to participate. AWBW distributed free diapers, wipes, baby food, baby toys and other gift items to further enhance the event's practical impact, supporting parents and families in a tangible way.At the end of the day, women were more equipped about their mental health and gained knowledge about resources available for community support.

Events like these play a significant role in promoting community engagement, education, and support. Prenatal mental health is a critical topic often overlooked, and by addressing it in such an event, you're helping to reduce stigma, provide information, and create a space for women and families to connect and share experiences.

In the spirit of Goal 17 "Partnership for the Goals" of the United Nations Sustainable Goals, AWBW was sponsored by Walmart, Shepherd of Life, GFunnel Inc, Healthy Start and M.C Healthcare.
